Pop Quiz

Pop Quiz: Where has teaching taken you?

Happy Canada Day / Bonne fête du Canada to all our Canadian readers!

I’m just getting ready to leave on a conference/research trip to Italy, which I’ve always thought was by far the best perk of my job (hint to future academics: study things that are in places you like to be!). I’ve been extremely lucky over the last several years to have visited some amazing places on “official” business, and it got me wondering what kind of experiences everyone else has had along these lines.

So where has teaching taken you? Have you ever taught away from home?* Been to a conference in an exciting locale? Done research in a place you’ll never forget?

*In the spirit of Canada day, anyone who has taught English in East Asia gets extra internet points!**

**If you don’t get the joke, you probably aren’t Canadian.

The Pop Quiz is a question posed to you, the Scholars of Doubt. Look for it to appear Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 3pm ET.
