Required Readings

RR: March 5, 2013

Here’s your Required Readings for Tuesday, March 5, 2013!

  • Just in case you haven’t heard about the latest crapstorm in anthropology concerning Napoleon Chagnon, Jonathan Marks has a couple of rundowns here and here.
  • How messed up is federal financial aid? How can it be fixed?
  • US Education Secretary backpedals previous comments about teaching job cuts.
  • Does your university put texts on reserve? Mine does (and it’s mentioned in this article)! They don’t mention that many of the textbooks placed on reserve are not purchased because instructors put them on reserve and get the books returned at the end of the semester.

Required Readings are a list of links that you might find interesting! Look for them to appear every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday morning.
