Welcome to our new staff!

Hail and well met, gentle readers!

I have the pleasure of announcing that four new writers have joined our intrepid team of terrifically talented teachers!

Richard teaches art at a Catholic school, and spends most of his days coloring and pretending he is not an atheist. He likes vintage furniture and french bulldogs.

RC is the assistant director of a learning center in the U.S. that focuses on space, science, and technology. She is a lifelong skeptic and science advocate, and a sci-fi fan who will talk your ear off about Star Trek if given half the chance.

Mauricio Gago teaches chemistry at the University of Costa Rica. He is interested in the comprehension of science and how it helps you identify what’s pseudoscience (or not science at all) and what actually lets us understand our world.

Lucy Douglass teaches English and coaches debate at a suburban U.S. high school. She enjoys spirited discussions, and her husband and son are quite happy that she gets her fill of arguing with her debate students and on the Internet.

In other news, Will has returned to his usual duties managing Queereka. We owe him a big thank-you for all his help getting SoD off the ground and showing us the ropes.

Stay tuned for even more skeptical goodness, same bat-blog, same bat-network.

  1. What do you teach, what do your new staffers teach, and what does it take to join your staff?

    1. These exciting questions and many others are answered in the above article and on the About page. We placed an open call on this network and others; future recruitment will also be publicised.
