Required Readings

Required Readings, 1 December 2013

A gang of abussive-men-beating women, atheist megachurches and more. Good morning everyone! Have a nice Sunday and enjoy reading while you finish digesting all that turkey!

Atheist ‘Megachurches’ Crop Up Around The World – I keep finding stories about this, perhaps it’s just because I’ve never, not even as a religious teen, did I feel that church community, so I don’t really understand it. I would like to meet like-minded people as well, and a community of such people can be charitable, but from there to the talks the singing and so on, I’m just not sure, it sure seems strange to me (and just to be sure, I’m not criticizing, not at all, it’s just something I don’t understand)

Meet India’s Gulabi Gang, Female Activists for Change – you gotta do what you gotta do!

Is Christianity becoming extinct? – a bit more about what the Archbishop of Britain said about Christianity’s impending extinction.

With God on Our Side – Religiousness in Clemson University. I will be applying for a Ph.D. in Clemson, so this is a little bit disturbing. The coach sure doesn’t sound as open as he says he is (not like I’ll be part of the football team, but this could be a reflection of the general environment of the university).
