Help yourself to these helpful notes on Paolo Friere!  Here’s a fave: To teach is not to transfer knowledge but to create the possibilities for the production or construction of knowledge.  

And a little primary source John Dewey.  Try this on: I believe that education is a process of living and not a preparation for future living.

Here’s an interview with Vivian Paley, who should wear a cape, she’s such great hero. Here is one thing she said about her experience as a teacher: I was always in my own laboratory and the questions I had would eventually be answered right there.
